Force-Based Skills (Additional abilities from WotC)

Battlemind
Difficulty: Easy if the Jedi is relaxed and at peace; Difficult if the Jedi is filled with aggression, fear or other negative emotions; Very Difficult if the Jedi is acting on those negative emotions. This ruling does not apply to Dark Jedi or Sith. Dark Jedi and Sith concentrate upon the opposite side of the Force thus all the opposite is true. A Dark Jedi or Sith would have difficulty using this ability if he or she is feeling passion.
This power can be kept "up".
Required Powers: Concentration
Effect: The user can increase his or her prowess in combat, using the Force to enhance concentration and commitment in battle. This ability strenthens the user's connection to the Force which makes it harder for that concentration to be broken. Normally when a Jedi becomes distracted or wounded, his or her concentration along with any supporting abilities are lost. If a Jedi was using Battlemind, however, all distraction penalties would be ignored and only the current abilities would be lost if a Jedi was wounded. Example: A Jedi uses Concentration then calls the Force ability of Telekinesis after concentrating upon Battlemind. Then a blinding flash of light occurs that would normally distract a Jedi that would cause him or her to lose all of the currently controlled Force Abilities. The Jedi using Battlemind would not lose the abilities of Telekinesis or Battlemind because Battlemind was enhancing the Jedi's concentration. The Jedi was then wounded heavily, the two Force abilities would be instantly dropped, but the Jedi's concentration would remain. Battlemind does not aid in any way with concentrating or Force abilities to unconscious characters who were knocked out. (For more information about Losing Concentration, check under the Force rules section of the Force Codex.)

Empathy
Difficulty: Very Easy for friendly, non-resisting targets; Very Difficult for a hostile, resisting targets.
This power can be kept "up".
Required Powers: Life Detection, Life sense, Receptive Telepathy, Projective Telepathy
Effect: User can reach into the Force to read a target's surface emotions, getting a sense of the target's general state of mind. This ability allows the user to sense a target's general mood, attitude, and emotional state. This grants a bonus on any actions made against the target within the next minute using the following basic skills: bluffing, diplomacy, handle animal, intimidate, entertain, and sensing motive.

Fear
Difficulty: Moderate
Warning: A character that uses this power will be very likely to be embraced by the dark side.
Effect: Fear is the path to the dark side of the Force. You can use the Force to learn what frightens others and use that against them, making them susceptible to the lure of the dark side.

"Fear is the path to the dark side."
- Master Yoda

Friendship
Difficulty: Easy for relatively calm targets, Hard for panicked targets, Very Hard for hostile targets
Effect: The user can use the Force to calm a hostile person or animal. A Friendship check allows the user to alter a target's attitude, except that the user doesn't need to be able to communicate with the target. Instead of using words, the user employs calming emotions through the use of the Force. If the attempt fails, the power cannot be used on the same target again until 24 hours have passed.

Force Mastery
Difficulty: Very Hard
This power can be kept "up".
Effect: The user can accomplish Force-related tasks with less concentration than normal. Usually once a Force user concentrates in order to use the Force, he or she can only use 3 Force abilities before another concentration is needed to continue to be one with the Force. Force Mastery allows the user to complete 4 Force abilities before another concentration is needed. Force Mastery counts as one of the 4 abilities so three others can be used before another concentration is needed, however; Force Mastery can be "kept up" to be used in the next line of Force abilities where 4 other abilities can be used if Force Mastery is kept up. This is not cumulative with the effects of High Force Mastery. You cannot use both abilities at the same time nor can you use either Force ability twice to improve the effects.(For more information about Concentration, check under the Force rules section of the Force Codex.)

Force Mind
Difficulty: Very Hard
Effect: The user can grant a Force difficulty bonus to a single ability of an ally for one action post. Example: A Jedi Master is training his padawan to use Enhance Attribute which is a moderate difficulty Force ability. The Jedi Master then uses Force Mind which gives the padawan a bonus in using a Force ability of his/her choice. Enhance Attribute would now be an easy difficulty Force ability for the padawan. The target of Force Mind must be willing. The target of Force Mind cannot be the user who summoned it; it can only be an ally.

High Force Mastery
Difficulty: Very Hard
This power can be kept "up".
Effect: The user can accomplish Force-related tasks with less concentration than normal. Usually once a Force user concentrates in order to use the Force, he or she can only use 3 Force abilities before another concentration is needed to continue to be one with the Force. High Force Mastery allows the user to complete 6 Force abilities before another concentration is needed. High Force Mastery counts as one of the 6 abilities so five others can be used before another concentration is needed, however; High Force Mastery can be "kept up" to be used in the next line of Force abilities where 6 other abilities can be used if High Force Mastery is kept up. This is not cumulative with the effects of Force Mastery. You cannot use both abilities at the same time nor can you use either Force ability twice to improve the effects.(For more information about Concentration, check under the Force rules section of the Force Codex.)
